We eat our own dog food. So we use Zimbra as the central collaboration solution for the company, in addition to iPhones, Blackberry and other mobile devices, to stay in touch with each other and our customers. We have integrated other systems, including a central, Ajax-based enterprise web ticketing system that provides transparency, tracking our activities and responses, and enabling us to hand-off work to each other seamlessly. And we use an Asterisk-based telephone system and soft-phones on our computers to receive in-bound calls from around the world, and forward them to the right person for the best response.

All this technology is for a purpose. Most of us work from home, or offices near to our homes (for better or for worse, but not for lunch). Besides occasional visits to the data centers, we gather periodically at our office in Lincoln Park, Chicago, altogether, and sometimes by department. Job Department Pay Description
Support Specialist HD $30-40K We have a new full-time position we're looking to hire for immediately, supporting clients of our Zimbra solutions. This is a great job for someone who wants a rewarding opportunity outside the corporate norm. After your training period, you may work from home, since our tools are all secure, web-based... we even use soft-phones and headsets, or work from our Lincoln Park, Chicago office. Opportunity for advancement within the company, and emphasis on cross-training, self-study and formal training. We want candidates who have a flexible schedule as well as a positive attitude towards teamwork. While flexibilty is necessary, this is expected to be 3 afternoon shifts, and 2 night shifts. Customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication, rapid typing, comfort managing simultaneous requests, expertise of how to configure mail clients on both Mac and Windows are all considered essential. Because we work with clients in the financial and health care industries, a successful candidate must pass a background check prior to hire.
Lead Technical Specialist HD $40-55K We have a new full-time position we're looking to hire for immediately, supporting clients of our Zimbra solutions. The primary support team looks to the Lead Technical Specialist to help resolve issues prior to escalating them to systems engineering. This is also a work from home position after training, with the option of working from our office in Lincoln Park, Chicago. In addition to the essential skills and expertise of the Primary Specialist position above, an understanding of DNS, MX records, and mail headers is essential. Training experience, mail server expertise, linux expertise, and programming skills are bonuses. There is significant growth potential for self-motivated team members, opportunities for formal training as a junior systems administrator, and trainer. Although flexibility is necessary, this is expected to be a morning shift, M-F. Because we work with clients in the financial and health care industries, a successful candidate must pass a background check prior to hire.
Lead Engineer SA $70-90K We have a new full-time position we're looking to hire for immediately on our systems administration team, supporting clients of our Zimbra solutions. This position will be a mix of systems administration and programming, as the systems administration team will be relying on the expertise of the Lead Engineer to trouble-shoot complex problems, invent and deliver efficient solutions, often under stressful circumstances, with top organizations from around the world. Candidates should have mastery of postfix, MySQL and Posix operating systems. Conversant and practiced with data set synchronization problems and solutions, DNS, LDAP, Jetty, and TCP/IP. Depth in at least one of the following: C++, Ajax, Java, Perl, or PHP. Direct experience with Zimbra a material plus. Developers with expertise in systems administration encouraged to apply. After training this is expected to be a work-from-home position, and you have the option to work from our Lincoln Park, Chicago offices. We are inerviewing candidates only in the Chicago, U.S. or Amsterdam, Netherlands area. We will not pay for relocation.
